About Us
Founded by Garry Robinson and Phill Ruby in 2008, ATS was established to fill the ever increasing void for a specialist pneumatic system design, service and sales company. Both Garry and Phill worked together for a large multi-national pneumatics company in New Zealand and saw the trend for the major pneumatics companies to commoditise their products, and remove local service and support in favour for central Auckland and Australian stocked products.
Garry’s mechanical experience compliments Phill’s electrical background and together they boast over 30 years pneumatic experience. This hands on experience has enabled ATS Pneumatics to keep local businesses running. Pneumatics has been and still is a major driving force behind most manufacturing companies. Compressed air automation is involved in almost every product we come in contact with from electronics goods, food, pharmaceuticals, building supplies and plastics to name but a few. With such a wide variety of applications this keeps both Garry and Phill interested in this industry.
Garry and Phill are joined by an experienced team, our goal to become a large local stockist of pneumatic products, backed by experienced staff has seen us grow as Canterbury’s premier pneumatics company offering the South Island’s only dedicated fully equipped pneumatics workshop. Our ethos has always been “challenge us”. We thrive on overcoming our clients challenges and providing not just products, but fully integrated pneumatic solutions.
